Baby at Yarl's Wood denied food
In early July 2008 I heard a dreadful account of an underweight baby, detained with her mother in Yarl's Wood Detention Centre, who was left without milk for 18 hours. I became involved in a protest to the authorities, which escalated when Brian Pollett, Head of Detention Services, UK Border Agency, denied that this incident had put the baby's health at risk.
